These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Serif and its products, including AI-assisted writing tools, audio/video transcription, YouTube-to-text processing, and content generation features (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility and Account Registration

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

2. Services and AI Outputs

• The Services may leverage third-party AI models and infrastructure providers. Outputs may be generated or transcribed content derived from your inputs and uploads.
• AI outputs may sometimes be inaccurate, incomplete, or reflect biases. You are responsible for reviewing outputs and using your own judgment before publishing or relying on them.
• We may set technical limits (e.g., file sizes, rate limits) to maintain service reliability.

3. User Content and License

• You retain ownership of content you submit or upload ("User Content"). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process User Content solely to provide and improve the Services.
• You represent that you have all necessary rights to submit User Content and that it does not infringe, violate, or misappropriate any third-party rights or applicable laws.

4. Prohibited Conduct

• Reverse engineering or attempting to bypass technical controls.
• Uploading, generating, or distributing content that is unlawful, harmful, harassing, discriminatory, or otherwise objectionable.
• Violating third-party platform terms (e.g., YouTube) when using integrations.
• Attempting to access accounts or data without authorization, or introducing malware or other harmful code.

5. Intellectual Property

The Services, including software, UI, and design elements, are protected by intellectual property laws. Except as expressly allowed, you may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Services.

6. Third-Party Services and Integrations

Certain features rely on third-party services (e.g., YouTube for media retrieval, Supabase for authentication/storage, hosting providers for delivery, optional integrations like Slack or Webflow). Your use of these integrations may be subject to the third parties' terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

7. Payments and Subscriptions

• Subscription fees, if applicable, are billed by our payment processor. Taxes may apply.
• You authorize recurring charges until you cancel. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
• We may change pricing with reasonable notice. Continued use after price changes constitutes acceptance of the new prices.

9. Disclaimers

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless us and our affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to your use of the Services, User Content, or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination
